    Charles C.
    Gillett

Children: at least one daughter -- Ferol E. Gillett - born about 1904 in Illinois
Since both the 1910 and 1920 census records indicated their daughter was born in Illinois,
Charles and Elva must have lived in Illinois after marrying and before moving to Kansas (or she
was Elva's daughter by a previous marriage) - sometime before 1930 they moved to Downs,
Osborne County, Kansas - both Jewell and Osborne Counties are in north central Kansas with
Jewell on the Nebraska border and Osborne southwest of Jewell - it was reported that one of his
sons, Leonard, was an officer with International Harvester in Los Angeles, California (no record
was found, but he might have been the husband of their daughter, Ferol).

NOTE:   Jewell, Kansas, where Charles Gillett was working for the railroad, is just 30 miles west of Gaylord, Kansas, where my grandfather, George Gillett, was also working for the railroad in 1908 when he met his wife, Sana Shedden - Charles may have been the reason George was working for the railroad and may have actually gotten him the job.
